Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern use of Psych Brief. By visiting the site, contacting us, or connecting an authorized creator account, you agree to these terms.
The service
Psych Brief creates educational psychology videos from research sources and provides related creator workflow tools for drafting, reviewing, uploading, and monitoring short-form educational content.
Educational content only
Psych Brief publishes educational psychology summaries. Content is not therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, medical advice, or a substitute for a licensed professional. If you need urgent mental health support, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis resource.
Platform integrations
Psych Brief uses TikTok developer tools to connect an authorized creator account (Login Kit, user.info.basic). The Content Posting API (video.upload) is planned for a separate future review and is not part of the current TikTok submission. Psych Brief requests only the permissions needed for the approved workflow and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or controlled by TikTok.
Creator authorization
You are responsible for connecting only accounts you are authorized to use and for reviewing every draft before it is posted or finalized on TikTok. Final publishing control stays with you inside the TikTok app. If you revoke authorization or request deletion, Psych Brief may stop being able to upload drafts for that account.
Content responsibility
You are responsible for the content you approve, upload, or publish. Psych Brief does not grant rights to third-party media and does not permit uploading content that violates TikTok policies, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable law.
User responsibilities
You may not use Psych Brief to publish unlawful content, infringe intellectual property, impersonate others, misrepresent the service, bypass platform review requirements, scrape TikTok, automate TikTok Studio, or upload content that violates platform rules.
Accuracy and limitations
We aim to summarize research carefully, but short educational content can omit context. Viewers should consult the cited sources and qualified professionals for individual decisions.
Third-party services
Psych Brief may rely on third-party services, including website hosting providers and TikTok developer APIs. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.
Availability
Psych Brief may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service, including integrations, drafts, or review workflows. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Intellectual property
Psych Brief's site, workflow, text, branding, and original materials belong to Psych Brief or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by law or written permission.
Disclaimers
Psych Brief is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when this version became active.
